The Beckman Coulter UniCelDxH 600 and 800 Coulter Cellular Analysis Systems, for mid- to high-volume laboratories, feature advanced technologies, including high-definition signal processing and multi-angle light scatter technology, which produce 10 times more data than traditional hematology analyzers. Moving parts and tubing on these systems have been minimized to increase instrument reliability and technologist safety. The instruments’ modular designs and small footprints make them an attractive solution for the LEAN lab. Delivering workflow innovation throughout the hematology lab, the DxH 600 and 800 also feature: customized decision rules to help reduce review rates and improved TATs; the ability to partially release patient results manually or automatically via decision rules; and automated repeat testing to maximize workflow efficiency.

Liquichek Hematology controls

Bio-Rad offers Liquichek Hematology controls for 3-part and 5-part differential testing on major Hematology analyzers. The Hematology control product line also includes Liquichek sedimentation rate control to address ESR quality control needs. Confidence in patient results can increase through participation in Bio-Rad’s Unity Inter-laboratory program for worldwide peer group comparisons.

CAPILLARYS 2 Flex Piercing

Sebia’s Capillary Electrophoresis efficiently separates and quantitates normal and abnormal hemoglobins. Fully automated with fast throughput, running eight samples simultaneously, the Capillarys 2 Flex Piercing analyzer uses whole-blood, cap-piercing technology to achieve high resolution separation of hemoglobin variants. Minor fractions (such as glycated Hb) do not separate from the major peaks, providing clear-cut and precise results.  Migration zones assist with fast and easy Hb variant interpretation.  Throughput allows you to process 38 hemoglobin samples/hr. Minimum sample volume required – 100 µL of whole-blood. A complete test menu is available; HbA1c, serum and urine protein and immunotyping, and CDT (chronic alcohol abuse marker).

Cell-Chex Auto

Cell-Chex Auto is a three-level spinal and body fluid control for evaluating the accuracy and precision of hematology instruments that measure blood cell counts in patient body fluid samples. It is an automated body fluid cell count control for Abbott, Beckman Coulter, Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics, and Sysmex hematology instruments. The control improves efficiency, maintains testing accuracy, and decreases turnaround times for most body fluid samples by eliminating the need for manual hemacytometer testing by one or more technologists. Cell-Chex Auto is packaged in plastic 3.0 ml vials with a pierceable cap and offers 75-day closed-vial stability and 30-day open-vial stability.


ABX Micros ES60

The ABX Micros ES60 hematology analyzer from HORIBA Medical is a combination of intuitive use and innovative technology. Specially designed for clinical laboratories and emergency services, the ABX Micros ES60 can handle micro-samples (10µL) in open and closed mode, processing CBCs and 3-part differentials. For ease of use, an integrated barcode reader provides identification of patient samples, QC, and reagents. The integral touch screen with virtual keyboard controls analysis and access to detailed patient results. The operating system has the capacity for 1,000 patient results, and USB connectivity gives the option for downloading QC target values, archiving valuable patient and QC reports.

XN-1000 Automated Hema-tology Analyzer is a recent
addition to the XN-Series Automated Hematology Analyzers product line. The analyzer provides the same XN reliability and technology in a module that is designed for lower volume. The XN-1000 is an entry level XN system for lower volume labs, and uses the fluorescent technology the XN-Series is known for throughout hematology. The module provides standardization and scalability throughout workflow while maintaining the reliability and services of its predecessors.
