CDC revises travel recommendations for vaccinated people

April 5, 2021

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) revised its travel guidelines, saying that people fully vaccinated against COVID-19 can travel safely both within the United States and internationally.

The agency also said fully vaccinated people do not need to get tested or self-quarantine after travel.

However, the agency also said fully vaccinated people traveling to the United States from other countries are still required to have a negative COVID-19 test result before boarding a plane, while those returning to the United States after overseas travel need to get a COVID-19 test within three to five days.
