Mount Sinai announced in a press release on September 10, that their Morningside location has opened a new space dedicated to inpatient rehabilitation. The Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Center is now located at 1111 Amsterdam Avenue (at 114th Street) in Manhattan.
Current inpatient rehab offerings have been moved to the new building. The new “high-tech facility” is designed to improve patient care. They cater to a variety of patient rehab needs. The new building includes:
Bigger rooms
Individual lifts in all rooms
A renovated high-tech gym
Digital scheduling
“Smart rooms”
A designated research area
The Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Center has received accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities for Spinal Cord Injury, Brain Injury, and Stroke, for its inpatient and outpatient programs.
