Top in-demand healthcare jobs: A new analysis

Soliant's recent analysis highlights the fastest-growing healthcare roles through 2034, driven by aging populations and increased healthcare access, emphasizing the sector's resilience and AI-proof nature.

Soliant recently published an analysis detailing the most “in-demand” healthcare jobs. The industry is expected to grow 8.4% by 2034, just over 5% higher than the forecasted employment rate for other sectors, according to the paper.

The organization attributes the demand to more aging Americans, broader accessibility to screening and healthcare services, and that the industry requires human touch. Soliant referred to healthcare as an “AI-proof” career.

The following positions are considered the highest sought after healthcare jobs “for 2026 and beyond:”

  • Nurse Practitioner
  • Physical Therapist Assistant
  • Ophthalmic Medical Technician
  • Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Speech-Language Pathologist
