AABB encourages early-career professionals or those new to the field to take advantage of the Professional Engagement Program (PEP) mentoring program. The informal, 6-month program pairs experienced AABB members with colleagues who have worked in blood banking, transfusion medicine, biotherapies or patient blood management (PBM) for less than 5 years. Mentors and mentees communicate at least once per month by phone. Individuals interested in participating can complete an online application.
