The Clinical Laboratory Management Association (CLMA) and the Society of American Federal Medical Laboratory Scientists (SAFMLS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding that will allow for a new and growing collaboration between the two organizations. Initially, CLMA will provide professional development and education to SAFMLS members through CLMA’s KnowledgeLab and its other educational offerings. Ultimately, each organization hopes to gain enhanced educational benefits for its respective members.
“This collaboration will provide significant professional development opportunities to members of CLMA and SAFMLS,” says Paul L. Epner, CLMA President. “The intent is to co-locate KnowledgeLab and SAFMLS’ annual in-person continuing education and training program. It is expected that this co-location of activities will produce enhanced networking opportunities for our respective members and a larger group of laboratory decision-makers for our vendor partners.”
“We are enthusiastic about bringing experts from both organizations together to jointly train and educate our members,” says Paul Mann, SAFMLS President. “I look forward to providing this increased value to members of both organizations.”
