Proficiency testing

With CellaVision Proficiency Software, Medical Technologists train and test their skills in performing peripheral blood and body fluid differential counts and get instant feedback on their performance. The product promotes independent learning and helps laboratories reduce their time and resources for quality assessment. The product is web-based and designed to support organizations with many users. Users log in to their account through a web browser and can create, distribute and perform proficiency tests, track performance and compare the overall results. At the product page customers can participate in activities to test their knowledge of cell morphology, and interact with peers through the user forum.

Automated hematology analyzers

Sysmex® XN-Series Automated Hematology Analyzers enable laboratories of any size to automate all phases of hematology testing, implement auto-validation, expand parameter offerings, and participate in time saving e-services programs. The XN-9000™ integrates hematology analyzers with slide making/staining, tube sorting and archiving, and HbA1c analysis to automate up to 90% of the lab’s EDTA tubes. The Sysmex DI-60™ Integrated Slide Processing work cell integrates and automates cell image analysis to streamline slide review. Auto-validation options range from onboard rules to Sysmex WAM™ middleware. Parameters include immature granulocytes with every differential, RET-He in the reticulocyte profile and a new fluorescent platelet channel for Immature Platelet Fraction. Scalable and compact, other XN-Series configurations are also available to meet the needs of any lab.

Cellular analysis systems

The UniCel DxH 600 Coulter Cellular Analysis System, for mid- to high-volume laboratories, features high-definition signal processing and multi-angle light scatter technology, which produces 10 times more data than traditional hematology analyzers. Moving parts and tubing have been minimized to increase instrument reliability and technologist safety. The instrument’s modular design and small footprint make it the ultimate solution for the Lean lab, whether you are looking for a stand-alone or benchtop solution. Delivering workflow innovation throughout the hematology lab, the DxH 600 features customized decision rules to help reduce review rates and improve TATs; partial release of patient results manually or automatically via decision rules; and automated repeat testing.

Detect sickling hemoglobins

SICKLEDEX is a qualitative solubility test kit used to detect the presence of sickling hemoglobins in human blood or sickle cell control material. Kits are conveniently packaged with two separate squeeze bottles of phosphate buffer with Saponin for easy dispensing, and to eliminate waste. The kits also contain two buffer dispensing caps and two vials of Sodium Hydrosulfite reagent powder. Each test requires 2 ml of reconstituted solubility buffer and 20 µl of anticoagulated whole blood or 20 µl of sickle cell hemoglobin control. A 10-place test tube reading rack is also available.
