The Leapfrog Group has officially awarded their 2025 Top Hospital and Top Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Awards. The 25th set of honorees are congratulated in a press release.
According to The Leapfrog Group, 156 hospitals were recognized, 16% more than last year. They said this was because more hospitals were surveyed, and hospitals performed better in certain categories like billing ethics, informed consent, and nurse staffing efforts. All states but Alabama, Arkansas, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming had hospitals that were awarded.
37 ASCs received recognition. Connecticut, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Tennessee were the only states that had top ASCs awarded.
Additionally, The Leapfrog Group has announced that next year’s survey will be revised. They are looking for public input on the questions.
