Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin opened Versiti on King in June 2024 with the goal to end health-related disparities in Milwaukee.
According to an AABB release, the resource is “a first-of-its-kind permanent blood center and community resource center.” Versiti on King supplies patients with a variety of services:

·Health education
·Training for jobs
·“A training room for new Versiti phlebotomists”
AABB interviewed Versiti on King about their community impact. The center raises awareness about sickle cell disease, reverses healthcare mistrust, and connects with the community.
