AABB and the AABB Foundation are pleased to announce the 2023 Hall of Fame inductees. The AABB Foundation Hall of Fame, introduced in 2007, recognizes a prestigious and select group of Foundation grant recipients who leveraged their early-career grant funding into successful careers in transfusion medicine or biotherapies and who demonstrated exemplary leadership within the field.
This year’s inductees are:
- Angelo D’Alessandro, PhD
- Stephanie Eisenbarth, MD, PhD
- Krystalyn Hudson, PhD
- Anand Padmanabhan, MD, PhD
- Brian R. Smith, MD
To be selected as a AABB Foundation Hall of Fame inductee, individuals must meet the following criteria: completion of AABB Foundation-funded research; service on a minimum of three or more AABB committees or workgroups (including the AABB Board of Directors, the AABB Foundation Board of Trustees and the Transfusion Editorial Board); exemplary leadership through a successful career demonstrating commitment, foresight and contributions to the field; and current membership in AABB.
The 2023 induction ceremony will take place during the AABB Annual Meeting in Nashville, Tenn. Congratulations to this year’s inductees!
