Transfusion medicine and cellular therapy trailblazers receive AABB Memorial Awards

AABB announced the names of the transfusion medicine and cellular therapy leaders who will be receiving the Association’s 2019 Memorial Awards. Award recipients will be recognized during the AABB Annual Meeting in San Antonio, Oct. 19-22.

“Throughout the past several decades, AABB’s Memorial Awards have distinguished some of the most eminent leaders in the field,” said AABB President Michael M. Murphy, MD, FRCP, FRCPath, FFPath. “AABB is proud to recognize the outstanding achievements of this year’s recipients, who have been nominated and recognized by their peers for policy and practice-changing research and accomplishments in transfusion medicine and cellular therapies.”
