As part of their partnership with Microsoft, Medline has developed a cloud-based “AI digital control tower” to enhance resiliency in healthcare supply chains. The system, called Mpower, will begin going live for 10 pilot participants over the next few weeks, according to an announcement.

The chosen healthcare systems have aided Medline with the evaluation of Mpower since last fall. They will provide “additional feedback on their user experience to help inform any final adjustments before launch.” Medline customers will have the opportunity to utilize the technology beginning in May.

Mpower leverages information from Medline and AI to help providers foresee supply chain disruptions. The tool also includes “an AI chat agent powered by Microsoft Copilot and Azure” to assist users in real time. The companies plan to add additional capabilities to Mpower in the future.
