MEDICA HEALTH IT FORUM highlights general digitalization trends and their potential for application in healthcare
Artificial Intelligence (AI), telemedicine, wearables, electronic patient files and big data are just some of the buzzwords that are driving the healthcare industry. This year, MEDICA will demonstrate how these trends shape medical care in line with the times. MEDICA will be held from November 13 – 16, 2023 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany.
In this context, the MEDICA HEALTH IT FORUM in Hall 12 will take a closer look at which opportunities open up for the medical sector through adaptation of general trends such as the growing use of the AI tool ‘ChatGPT’ or lively communication through social media.
PD Dr Jeanette Miriam Lorenz, Head of the Department “Quantum-enhanced AI” at the Fraunhofer IKS institute, will start the opening session of the Forum with exactly this topic (November 13, 12:00 – 1:00 pm). Quantum computing has the potential to massively change numerous industries. Currently, however, a lot of research is still needed before broad applications can become possible.
Other sessions on digital trends:
- From “med babble” to simple language – phrased by Chat GPT
- Clothes as a source of data and AI accelerate diagnostics
