AP-Visions releases innovative new LIS software for the POL

March 14, 2013

AP-Visions, LLC, provider of the AP-URO, Derma, and GI anatomical pathology reporting systems, has unveiled the xLAB (a new generation of Laboratory Information Systems). It was designed to be a cost-effective solution for laboratory data management needs in the small hospital and physician office laboratory. The software supports a user-definable single screen order entry in a rules-based environment. It further provides full QC management with Levey Jennings graphs and westgard rules.

The xLAB software release is EMR-ready and includes support for multi-instrument interfacing along with interpretive reporting and reflex testing. xLAB can also fully integrate with AP-URO, Derma, and GI, increasing its value as a data management tool in the anatomical pathology lab that also has a need for a full-function LIS. The xLAB is now available for sale and installation.

Neal Flora, AP-Visions’ managing director, says that the xLAB exemplifies what he characterizes as his company’s mission: “To make laboratory results flow effectively and economically to where the healthcare provider needs them to be.” Learn more about the xLAB.
