To streamline qPCR multiplexing workflows, Thermo Fisher Scientific has launched the new MGB probes for up to 5-plex multiplexing, paired with a modernized online tool for ordering qPCR components.

With an integrated, intuitive ordering experience, customers can now easily navigate and order necessary qPCR components—primers, probes, and master mixes—based on their instrument, all in one place. This enhanced workflow significantly simplifies the upfront ordering experience, allowing customers to start their multiplexing experiments sooner and more efficiently. Additionally, Applied Biosystems TaqMan probes, primers, and master mixes are manufactured in an ISO13485 environment, ensuring lot-to-lot consistency for reliable and reproducible results.

Key Applications: qPCR multiplexing for biopharma and clinical research

Features/benefits:

  1. Streamlined ordering process: The new integrated custom TaqMan probes and qPCR primers tool simplifies ordering of primers, TaqMan probes, and master mixes on a single intuitive platform, eliminating the need to visit multiple pages or tools.
  1. Reduced turnaround time: The turnaround time for ordering MGB probes with ABY, JUN, and Cy5 dyes has been reduced from 3–5 weeks to just 4–10 days, meaning that multiplexing experiments can start much sooner.
  1. Enhanced multiplexing capability: New MGB probes support multiplexing with up to 5-plex capability, enabling detection of up to five different targets with the specificity of TaqMan MGB probes for challenging qPCR applications.
