In response to the social distancing recommendations from public health officials to combat the spread of COVID-19, numerous associations have canceled or modified their annual conferences. These include:
-The American Society for Microbiology’s Clinical Virology Symposium (CVS), originally scheduled for May 3-6, in West Palm Beach, FL.
-The American Society for Clinical Oncology’s (ASCO) annual meeting, originally scheduled for May 29-June 2, in Chicago, IL. However, ASCO says it will “deliver the latest cancer science” in a virtual format instead.
-The Association of Public Health Laboratories’ annual conference, originally scheduled for June 8-11, in Portland, OR.
