PCOM opens new Memory Center for cognitive health

The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) has opened a new center in Rowland Hall on their Philadelphia Campus to support cognitive care, according to a release.

PCOM hopes to improve patient care with The Memory Center at PCOM. The center “brings together an interdisciplinary approach combining the expertise of neuroscientists with the clinical disciplines of geriatric medicine, clinical psychology and gerontological nursing to enable accurate diagnosis, patient-centered treatment planning, and proactive advance care strategies to improve outcomes for patients and their families.”

  • Patient and family support
  • “Referrals to specialized resources within the community.”
  • Informed care
  • Elements to alleviate burden and fatigue
