Advancements in patient safety

In observation of Patient Safety Awareness Week, the American Hospital Association (AHA) and Press Ganey published a report titled, “Improvement in Safety Culture Linked to Better Patient and Staff Outcomes.”

Important findings highlighted by AHA:

·       Higher patient satisfaction was reported

·       1.7 million healthcare professionals reported improvements in their post-COVID experiences and their “resilience and perceptions of safety culture”

·       Less falls and infections reported “across more than 25,000 units in 2,430 hospitals.”
