The American Proficiency Institute (API) has expanded its annual scholarship awards program to reach twice as many students. Applications will be accepted for the 2026 API Scholarships beginning on March 2, 2026.
API will now offer eight scholarships annually. Four scholarships of $5,000 each will be awarded to medical laboratory science (MLS) students who have completed the second year of their MLS program. In addition, four scholarships of $2,500 each will be given to medical laboratory technician (MLT) students who have completed the first year of their MLT program.
