Oct. 24, 2023
Remove unneeded medications.

October 28 is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, an opportunity for the public to safely dispose of unwanted or expired tablets, capsules, patches and other solid forms of prescription drugs. The Saturday event offers free and anonymous disposal of unneeded medications at almost 5,000 local drop-off locations nationwide. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day encourages the public to remove unneeded medications from their homes as a measure of preventing medication misuse and opioid addiction from ever starting.

Further information and a drop-off location locator can be found at https://www.dea.gov/takebackday
