In an attempt to boost antimicrobial resistance (AMR) surveillance around the globe, the World Health Organization (WHO) has upgraded their Global Antimicrobial Resistance and Use Surveillance System (GLASS) dashboard. Details of this action are summarized in an announcement.
The tool now displays data from 2016-2023 from 141 participating countries, territories, and areas (CTAs), according to WHO. Information from the dashboard will be included in WHO’s next Global Antibiotic Resistance Surveillance Report, 2025.
Additional updates:
More than 23 million “bacteriologically confirmed infection episodes” from 110 CTA participants from 2016-2023
Option to sort by CTA, region, pathogen, or antibiotic
“Displays resistance to 23 antibiotics across 11 antibiotic classes.”
