Both Celltrion and Quidel recently received Emergency Use Authorizations (EUAs) for SARS-CoV-2 antigen tests. These EUAs have been issued for each individual test with certain conditions of authorization required of the manufacturer and authorized laboratories.
On October 21, both Celltrion USA, Inc. and Quidel Corporation received their EUAs. The Celltrion DiaTrust COVID-19 Ag Home Test uses lateral flow, with a visual reading, and it is used for over-the-counter (OTC) home testing, as well as serial testing. The QuickVue At-Home OTC COVID-19 Test by Quidel also uses lateral flow with a visual reading.
