The Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (ADLM) 2026 annual meeting is here! Through July 30th, the conference will cover leading topics from diabetes to diagnostics in space. ADLM lists some of the key sessions in a press release.
Dr. David M. Nathan opened the meeting on July 26 with a plenary session on lessons learned from his more than 50 years of leading diabetes research. Some of his achievements include work that led to the establishment of hemoglobin A1c “as the gold-standard blood test for managing long-term diabetes,” and being the first to show how the glucagon-like peptide-1 hormone plays a part in lowering glucose.

- On July 28, Dr. Elizabeth Head will talk about the connection between Alzheimer's and Down syndrome and her research on intervention and prevention.

- Dr. Arun Wiita will close the meeting on July 30 with an overview of the research he is leading on locating cancer biomarkers with mass spectrometry.
