The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) are calling for nominations for the Healthcare Advisory Committee.
Selected members will provide HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz their insights on how to better patient care for Medicare, Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and the Health Insurance Marketplace enrollees. The committee will center on improving chronic disease care and prevention, patient safety, quality care, and heightening care standards.
The committee is specifically looking for members with backgrounds in “chronic disease prevention and management, federally administered healthcare financing, and delivery system reform.” To be considered, interested parties must nominate themselves or be nominated by an organization before September 22, 2025. 15 members will be chosen.
