WHO releases free newborn and child health courses

In observance of World Patient Safety Day 2025, the World Health Organization (WHO) has published a variety of free courses regarding maternal and pediatric health. The goal of this action is to improve maternal and child health and reduce morbidity and mortality worldwide. 

The following classes can be found on WHO’s website: 

• Infection prevention and control in maternal and neonatal care
• Essential postpartum family planning counselling
• Respectful maternity and newborn care
• Oral health care of pregnant women and newborns
• Accelerating elimination of congenital syphilis: ensuring adequate diagnosis and treatment 
• Integrated management of childhood illness
