LabFInder and ELLKAY announced plans to increase throughput in processing orders for COVID-19 testing, according to a press release from ELLKAY.
LabFinder, an online tool for scheduling lab and radiology appointments, launched a virtual prescreening process, leading to projected 50 percent increase in appointment requests and lab-results reporting in May, compared to April.
To facilitate this process, ELLKAY, a vendor of interoperability software, has begun providing connectivity that allows patients to directly schedule a COVID-19 test through the LabFinder portal, undergo testing, and receive test results quickly from ELLKAY. In addition, ELLKAY also delivers those results to the lab and provider.
