A new Cedars-Sinai-developed artificial intelligence (AI) model might change the way clinicians diagnose diseases, according to an announcement.

The model, called DYNA, “accurately distinguishes harmful gene variations from harmless ones,” according to Cedars-Sinai. In a new study, DYNA linked certain mutations to conditions like cardiovascular disease.

The study is published in Nature Machine Intelligence.
