Chock-full of knowledge at CLMA 2015

April 6, 2015

Bright sun shining, trade-winds blowing, steel drums vibrating…  Paradise, you ask?  Nope, just another day at the Clinical Laboratory Management Association’s KnowledgeLab 2015 held in beautiful Orlando, FL, March 29 – April 1, at the Caribe Royale All-Suite Hotel and Convention Center!

Catering to laboratory leaders from top laboratories around the world, this four day conference included exciting General Sessions, Poster Presentations, Hot Topic Roundtables, Keynote Speakers and Full Day Leadership Workshops. The main Exhibit Hall was host to nearly 100 vendors and industry experts — from major pharma to media publications to specialized computer software companies — all available to answer questions, exchange ideas and offer cutting-edge solutions to improve your lab’s performance and offer your patients a better lab experience.

New guests this year included the Society of American Federal Medical Laboratory Scientists (SAFMLS).  Established in 1971, SAFMLS is a non-profit organization organized exclusively for charitable, educational and scientific purposes in relationship to the laboratory sciences. Their primary objective is maintaining and enhancing high professional standards through improved laboratory policies and technology in support of the health care delivery systems of the Armed Forces, Public Health Services and Veterans Administration.

Whether your goal was learning about the latest lab technology and products, collecting continuing education credits or simply connecting with other lab management professionals, CLMA’s 2015 Knowledge Lab was a huge success.  It was also a profound reminder that laboratory leaders CAN and DO make a huge impact the healthcare industry.  Thank you CLMA for empowering laboratory management professionals to achieve excellence in leadership through forward-thinking educational, networking and advocacy opportunities.
