Streck adds instrument to linearity control kit

Aug. 20, 2014

Streck's Calibration Verification Assessment (CVA), an assayed linearity control kit used to determine the patient reportable range of 3-part and 5-part hematology instruments, is now assayed for the Beckman Coulter UniCel DxH 600.

CVA establishes an instrument's reportable range as well as verifies linearity, testing the extreme upper and lower limits of an instrument, assuring that abnormal patient results are valid. Each kit of CVA has customized ranges appropriate for each instrument model and provides instrument-specific assay values for the white blood cell, platelet, red blood cell, and hemoglobin parameters. WBC and platelet parameters have extended ranges providing values up to 410,000 and 3.5 million for instruments with extended linearities. CVA has 5-day open-vial stability, which allows the product to be rerun if an instrument problem is detected.

Values are also assigned for Beckman Coulter Ac•T 5diff, LH 500, LH 750/755, LH 780/785, HmX, UniCel DxH 800, HemoCue, Inc. Hb 201+ Analyzer, and Mindray BC-3200. Streck also offers CVA for CELL-DYN, assayed for the Abbott CELL-DYN Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald, 3500/3700, 3200, and 1800.

A comprehensive linearity report is also available with Streck STATS. Reports are tools to show compliance with CLIA and CAP regulations. Learn more about CVA and CVA for CELL-DYN.
