TELCOR's QML achieves ONC HIT 2014 Edition Modular certification from ICSA Labs

TELCOR, provider of software solutions for point-of-care and laboratory billing, has announced that its QML version 2.3 point-of-care software solution has achieved ONC HIT 2014 Edition Modular Inpatient and Modular Ambulatory EHR Certification. This designates that the software is capable of supporting eligible providers and hospitals with meeting the Stage 1 and Stage 2 Meaningful Use measures required to qualify for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). QML version 2.3 was certified on June 11, 2014, by ICSA Labs, an Office of the National Coordinator-Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB), and is compliant in accordance with the applicable criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). ICSA Labs, an independent division of Verizon, offers vendor-neutral testing and certification. 2014 Edition ONC HIT Certification is granted to those technologies that are capable of meeting the more rigorous testing criteria developed to support providers and hospitals who wish to demonstrate Stage 2 Meaningful Use, which focuses on the capability of health IT to deliver higher-quality patient care and exchange clinical information securely.

QML version 2.3’s certification number for the Ambulatory point-of-care market is 140107R00. QML version 2.3’s certification number for the Inpatient point-of-care market is140108R00. ONC HIT certification conferred by ICSA Labs does not represent an endorsement of the certified EHR technology by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

QML version 2.3 meets the following certification criteria for Modular EHR Inpatient and Modular EHR Ambulatory:170.314(d)(1) Authentication, Access Control and Authorization; 170.314(d)(2) Auditable Events and Tamper-Resistance, including Network Time Protocol; 170.314(d)(3) Audit Reports; 170.314(d)(5) Automatic Log-Off; 170.314(d)(6) Emergency Access;170.314(g)(4) Quality Management System. QML version 2.3 also meets certification criteria in the Inpatient domain for: 170.314(b)(5) Incorporate Lab Tests and Values/Results; and 170.314(g)(1) Automated Numerator Recording.
