According to company spokespersons, Bio-Rad’s liquid, assayed controls, with verified stability claims for storage on-board the instrument, allow for convenient routine quality control of Vista assays. Bio-Rad controls available in Dimension Vista vials provide a comprehensive list of analytes that align with the Dimension Vista assay menu. Laboratories using Bio-Rad controls in Vista vials can also participate in Bio-Rad’s Unity Interlaboratory Data Management Program and meet accreditation and regulatory requirements.
Bio-Rad representatives say that controls available in Vista vials allow Dimension Vista customers to take advantage of shared control lot numbers with existing product configurations; access extensive Unity reports and peer group comparisons; utilize QC set-up with 2D barcodes; scan 2D barcodes for automatic upload of Vista values to alleviate transcription and handling errors; and alleviate time-consuming manual tasks that can introduce potential errors.
