Air-cooled benchtop centrifuge

The Allegra X-5 air-cooled benchtop centrifuge is designed specifically for clinical sample preparation. Bundled packages, which include swinging bucket rotors and common adapters, enable fast and convenient setup. The small footprint unit offers a capacity for up to 140 blood collection tubes, a maximum speed of 4,700 rpm, and centrifugal force of up to 4,470 x g. Benchtop centrifuges in the Allegra suite are offered for applications such as serum, plasma, and whole blood sample processing; protein precipitation and particulate and cell sedimentation; and in vitro cytotoxicity and receptor binding sample processing.

Filtration centrifuge

The Hermle Sieva-2 Filtration Centrifuge offers a wide range of applications. Two options are available for either perforated or non-perforated rotor baskets for filtration or solid/liquid sedimentation (decantation). The rotors are designed with cone-shaped centers to guarantee an even spread of filtered material and rinsing agent. The induction drive motor reaches speeds of 10,000 rpm or 7,825 x g. Features include speed selection from 250 to 10,000 rpm; transparent lid to monitor samples; imbalance detection system for added safety; 500mL rotor basket with 10 rows of perforations; and intuitive control panel and large digital LED.

One-minute hematocrit

The HemataSTAT II® is a self-contained, portable microhematocrit centrifuge that features an easy-to-use, built-in digital tube reader. To use, spin up to six samples for 60 seconds, position a tube on the built-in reader tray, and move the slider over the tube, marking the three sample interfaces. The quantitative hematocrit result is displayed on the LCD panel. Messages guide the operator through the testing procedure. HemataSTAT uses standard safety-enhanced 75-mm plastic or plastic-wrapped hematocrit tubes. The centrifuge features a built-in tachometer.  Unrefrigerated hematocrit controls are available for quality control checks. An optional rechargeable battery and carrying case are offered for field use.
