BioConference Live

May 17, 2013

BioConference Live is a great resource for online-only conferences that focus on clinical diagnostics and the life sciences. It brings together clinicians, researchers, medical experts, thought leaders, and professionals from around the world; it is available exclusively online; and it is free. Participating in conferences can enable you to network with peers and earn CE credits.

The next BioConference Live, which will be held May 29-31, focuses on Clinical Diagnostics. The theme of this conference is a range of medical, clinical, and research topics such as Personalized Healthcare, Pathology, Oncology, Infectious Disease, Laboratory Testing, Cardiology, Diabetes, Point of Care, Molecular Diagnostics, Hematology, Automation, Nutrition, Vitamin D, Allergy, Clinical Research, Mass Spectrometry, and more.

This event will be a forum for experts from around the world to learn about recent advances in these fields. Participants will interact with a global community of like-minded colleagues, without leaving the comfort of their office or home. The keynote address will be delivered by Alan Wright, MD, MPH, chief medical officer for Roche Diagnostics.

MLO is proud to say that distinguished speakers will include Glen Hansen, PhD; Ross J. Molinaro, PhD, MT(ASCP), DABCC, FACB; and Andrea Rose, PhD, MBA—all recent contributors. You can find Dr. Rose’s article “Vitamin D testing: clinical and laboratory considerations” in the current (May 2013) issue, and look for Dr. Hansen’s article “Blood cultures and the detection of sepsis” in the upcoming June 2013 issue.
