CDC warns public of continued Listeria outbreak

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has published an update regarding a current outbreak of Listeria.

The CDC attributes the outbreak to certain recalled pasta from Nate's Fine Foods Inc. Seven new cases have been confirmed, bringing the total to 27. Two more patients have died and six more have been hospitalized, bringing totals to six and 25, respectively. The outbreak is now affecting 18 states, three more since the previous update.

The CDC urges the public to double check their kitchens for recalled foods and to not eat them. They also suggest cleaning any surface or object that might have touched contaminated foods.
