CorePlus has become the first laboratory in Puerto Rico to bring the guideline-recommended ArteraAI Prostate Test into routine clinical use, according to an announcement. The ArteraAI Prostate Test is an advanced risk stratification tool to help personalize and optimize treatments for patients with localized prostate cancer.

The collaboration brings together CorePlus’s expertise in precision anatomic and clinical pathology with Artera’s validated multimodal artificial intelligence (MMAI) platform. Together, the organizations aim to improve diagnostic accuracy, accelerate clinical decision-making, and deliver more personalized care for prostate cancer patients.

The ArteraAI Prostate Test:

• Is AI-powered
• Analyzes the digital pathology images of prostate cancer biopsies
• Consumes no tissue
• Is the only test included in NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines) that can both predict therapy benefit and forecast long-term outcomes in localized prostate cancer.

Upon completing a successful validation process, CorePlus is now able to seamlessly send biopsy slide images to Artera and typically receive results within 24 hours. Since the collaboration began in 2023, CorePlus has delivered the test to its large referral network of urologists across Puerto Rico.
