Broadening accessibility of aggressive cancer treatment

Mayo Clinic has opened the Duan Family Building to make aggressive cancer treatment more accessible, according to an announcement.

The new building includes:

• 228,000 square feet
• The first carbon ion therapy program in the Americas, projected to be available by 2028
• Simultaneous carbon ion and proton treatment
• A variety of additional cancer treatments
