A new Mayo Clinic discovery could boost ovarian cancer treatment.

According to a release, the researchers found a cryptic antigen that could be a target for immunotherapy and aid the immune system in battling ovarian cancer tumors. The researchers believe that if they target the cryptic antigen, “the immune system can be effectively mobilized to attack the cancer.”

The study is published in Science Advances.
