Proper centrifugation during the preanalytic phase directly impacts the reliability of clinical chemistry results. This comprehensive study evaluates the Drucker DASH Flex 6 and StatSpin® Express 4 centrifuges in preparing serum for Basic Metabolic Panel (BMP) and Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP) testing. Through rigorous statistical analysis including ANOVA and paired t-tests across multiple analytes, the results demonstrate that both centrifuges produce statistically equivalent serum quality. Both units meet international safety standards for hospital laboratories requiring accurate diagnostic sample preparation.
