Urinalysis
Urine chemistry analyzer processes 210 samples per hour
The standalone iChemVELOCITY Automated Urine Chemistry Analyzer system is designed to deliver improved productivity and clinical utility in the medium- to high-volume hospital and clinical reference labs. The bench-top analyzer combines speed, automation, ease of use, and reliability to streamline workflow and increase testing capacity. The system utilizes iChem test strips which provide a 12-test profile, including 10 chemistry assays (glucose, protein, bilirubin, urobilinogen, pH, blood ketones, nitrite, leukocyte esterase, ascorbic acid), specific gravity by refractometer, color, and clarity. The system processes 210 samples per hour with a urine chemistry strip load capacity of 300 and a patient-record storage capacity of 10,000.

Hygienic urine collection and testing
The Urine Monovette system enables hygienic urine collection and testing without needles, expensive adapters, cups, or transfers. All tubes are manufactured from impact-resistant medical-grade plastics and feature secure screw caps for safe handling. After collection using a syringe technique, the plunger handle is removed to create a primary tube for transport, direct analysis, and centrifugation. A Luer-lock version is also available for needleless collection from Foley catheters. Tubes are offered in 8.5-mL and 10-mL volumes, with and without preservative, in a white option to protect light-sensitive analytes, and bulk or individually wrapped sterile. Each tube features a transparent label with graduations, barcode-placement line, lot number, and expiration date.

Urine dipstick control
The
Dropper urine-dipstick control validates urine-dipstick readings by applying the liquid, human-urine-based control directly onto the dipstick with a plastic dropper tip designed for easy dispensing and maximum use. Assay values are supplied for all analytes; qualitative results for hCG for early pregnancy-detection test methods are also included. Dropper is intended for use with Multistix, Chemstrip, DiaScreen, UriScan, pH (Nitrazine paper), and other urinalysis-reagent strips. It can also be used for confirmatory tests such as Acetest, Clinitest, Ictotest reagent tablets, and refractometry.

Control for automated urine analyzers
Designed
for Iris Diagnostics iQ automated urine analyzers,
UA-Cellular for IQ is a micro urinalysis control product that
contains components at two clinically significant levels, providing
thorough evaluation of the iQ instrument’s ability to identify and
quantify white blood cells, red blood cells, non-squamous epithelial
cells, and crystals. The product is contained in 120 mL squeeze bottles
with a flip-top cap dispenser that accurately allots the exact amount of
control needed into sample tubes. The product offers an open-vial
stability of 30 days and a closed-vial stability of 105 days. STATS, a
free interlaboratory quality-control program, produces relevant
peer-group comparison reports and graphs.

Chromogenic culture medium for UT pathogens
HUrBi
(HardyCHROM Urine Biplate) is a chromogenic culture media that
facilitates the isolation and differentiation of urinary-tract
pathogens. HUrBi is formulated to isolate Gram-positive organisms on the
left side of the biplate and Gram-negative organisms on the right side,
providing total separation for easy identification. The media reduces
the need for expensive automated ID cards and identifies
Escherichia coli and Enterococcus faecalis with no
further testing needed. Distinct color reactions for each of the common
urinary-tract pathogens make it easier to detect mixed infections.
