Print-and-apply label applicator
The PR100i is a desktop label applicator that features a print-and-apply system designed specifically for challenging labeling requirements in the laboratory environment. It can print and apply up to 12 labels in tandem. The system features a high-quality thermal-transfer printing system with 600-dpi resolution, and a patent-pending retracting-peel-edge technology, making it ideal for small labels, tight registration, and a variety of container shapes and sizes. The system occupies little space on crowded lab surfaces. It also offers increased capability and accurate placement for label sizes from 4 mm x 4 mm to 100 mm x100 mm, a range that is challenging for traditional applicators.

Chemical workstation with safety features
The AC600 Series ductless chemical workstations are designed to provide a low-cost solution for protection of the operator and environment from toxic vapors, gases, fumes, and particulate when performing low-volume applications with known chemicals. The small, mobile chemical workstations include advanced safety features and technology such as gas phase bonded carbon filtration, real-time gas detection, and constant airflow control and monitoring. An automatic safety controller displays, monitors, and maintains proper airflow to ensure fumes and vapors do not enter the operator’s breathing zone. The workstations can be placed virtually anywhere within the laboratory with the only installation requirement being access to a standard power outlet.

Chilling/heating incubators are energy efficient
Applications for the EchoTherm IN35 and IN45 benchtop, solid-state convection chilling/heating incubators with temperature ramping include protein crystal growth; culture growth above, below, or at room temperature; enzyme reactions and deactivations; incubating cultures; ligations; hybridizations; storing ooytes and DNA libraries; and more. The incubators are Peltier-based units with no compressors or chlorofluorocarbons. The units have 27.5-liter and 55-liter volumes respectively. Temperature range is from 4.0°C to 70.0°C with control to 0.1°C (even at room temperature). The fully programmable controls are capable of storing three routines in memory with each routine capable of 10 steps. The units have an RS232 interface for data collection, and are available in 100-VAC, 115-VAC, and 230-VAC, 50/60 Hz models.

Centrifugal concentrators
CentriVap Centrifugal Concentrators use a combination of centrifugal force, vacuum, and heat to speed evaporation of multiple small samples. The instrument offers a variety of rotors that hold as many as 148 small samples at once or holds a microtiter plate that holds two deep-well or four standard plates. The CentriVap DNA Concentrator processes DNA samples and other minute quantities of solvents. Each system has a memory that can store up to nine user-set programs.

Desktop barcode printer
The TDP-245 desktop direct thermal barcode printer features a clamshell design with a large media capacity. Simply open the cover and drop the labels into the printer. Top-of-form sensing by gap, black mark, or notch is standard and adjustable from side to side. Labels stored in the printer can be up to a 5-inch outside diameter (OD) on a 1-inch core. The machine offers speeds of up to 5 inches per second with a 203-dpi resolution. The TDP-245 features standard serial, parallel, and USB interfaces, and offers an optional internal Ethernet interface for networked installations.

Desktop label printer and reader

Paraffin wax dispenser with heated valve
The Boekel Wax Dispenser holds up to five liters of molten wax at a preset temperature. To ensure a consistent flow of molten wax, the unit features a heated dispenser valve which can be locked in an open position and allows precise control of the flowing wax. An inner reservoir screen helps prevent large particulate from clogging the dispenser valve. The paraffin-wax dispenser provides rapid warm-up with an advanced safety over-temperature cutoff. Multivolume spectrophotometer system
Designed to allow the user to run a variety of assays in an assortment of sample vessels and volume ranges, the Epoch Multi-Volume Spectrophotometer system combines the microplate spectrophotometer and the Take3 multivolume plate.
