Protect samples from loss and contamination

Protect samples from loss and contamination >> Bel-Art Products PrepSafe Microcentrifuge Tube Mini Floating Racks have tabs to protect samples from loss and contamination by locking tubes in place and keeping caps closed. Just slide tubes under the tabs to keep them from opening when under pressure, floating, submerged, knocked over, or turned upside down. The racks are made of polypropylene plastic and are steam-autoclavable at 121°C. A raised handle allows for easy lifting without agitating the samples and stable feet keep racks upright on the bench, no matter how many tubes are in the rack. Available in four colors (natural, turquoise, fuchsia, and neon yellow), each rack holds up to 12 1.5-mL or 2.0-mL microcentrifuge tubes; and each tab is numbered to stay organized.

High-speed microcentrifuge

High-speed microcentrifuge >> Labnet International The Prism high-speed microcentrifuge’s friction fit lid latching system combines reliability and safety with easy operation. An LCD panel shows all operating parameters, and a large rotary control knob sets the rotor speed, either in rpm or g force, and also controls run time and on/off functions. The system’s maximum speed of 15,000 rpm/21,200 x g facilitates quick pelleting of molecular samples. The lid’s hinge system allows the lid to stay in an open position, preventing the lid from closing prematurely. A powerful brushless drive, complete with a dual-flow air-cooling system, keeps samples and the rotor close to ambient temperature, even at maximum speed, and also minimizes the unit’s noise output.

High-speed centrifuge for chemistry labs

StatSpin Express 4 With only three settings, the StatSpin Express 4 high-speed horizontal centrifuge is simple to use. Samples can be processed as they arrive in the lab; no need for batching, no unproductive time spent waiting for the centrifuge. The device spins eight samples in three minutes — providing clean separation with a flat gel barrier. Samples can be put directly on the analyzer. It has a powerful maintenance-free brushless motor, and the entire unit is backed with a two-year warranty. For safety, the lid remains locked until the rotor comes to a complete stop. An audible alarm sounds when the cycle is complete. The centrifuge accepts 1.5-mL to 10-mL blood tubes — adaptors for 7-mL and 10-mL tubes come with the unit; other adapters are sold separately.

High-speed microcentrifuge

The Prism high-speed microcentrifuge incorporates a sleek, modern profile. Its new instrument-control panel, designed for ease of use, incorporates an LCD panel to show all operating parameters. A large rotary-control knob sets the rotor speed, either in rpm or g force, and also controls run time and on/off functions. Acceleration and deceleration is quick for improved efficiency and shorter run times. A maximum speed of 15,000 rpm/21,200 x g facilitates quick pelleting of molecular samples. The lid hinge/lock allows the lid to stay in an open position. A powerful brushless drive, complete with a dual-flow air-cooling system, keeps samples and the rotor close to ambient temperature, even at maximum speed, and also minimizes the unit’s noise output.

Portable fixed-speed centrifuge

With suction-cupped feet to prevent slipping, the portable eight-place LWS Portafuge is a fixed-speed centrifuge built for spinning on the go. Designed for mobile medics, traveling lab technicians, and home-health nurses, this unit is virtually maintenance-free, and the lid port allows easy viewing of specimens while in use. The 11-pound system accommodates most test tubes from 3 mL to 15 mL with quiet, vibration-free operation. Simply insert the plug into a car power outlet for quick blood separation at 3,300 rpm. A car seat made exclusively for the portable centrifuge is available to keep it level in the passenger seat for accurate separation, spinning accuracy, and driver safety while in transport and during use.

Mobile blood processing system

The StatSpin Mobile system can be used anywhere that blood collection and processing is required. Because it runs off an alternative power source such as a car battery, it can be operated in remote locations such as blood drives, home healthcare, nursing homes, rural locations, disaster-preparedness sites, emergency vehicles, and battlefront-medicine facilities. The system includes a military-grade case with a lifetime warranty, a Statspin Express 3 centrifuge, power inverter, power cord, and a sharps container. Eight tubes up to 10 mL can be processed in two minutes. The brushless motor is maintenance-free.

High-speed, universal centrifuges

The Z 326 and Z 326 K centrifuges accept tubes up to 100 mL. Multiple rotor options and a maximum RCF of 22, 454 x g make the Z 326 series useful for a variety of applications. A powerful microprocessor controls all operating parameters. Both actual and set values can be viewed at all times on the large LCD. Adjustable braking intensity, radius correction, and program storage are some of the programming functions available on these instruments. A continuous flow of air through the chamber keeps temperatures from rising significantly in the ambient Z 326. The Z 326 K features a refrigeration system that can cool all rotors below 4°C, even at maximum speed, rapidly cooling the chamber to the desired temperature at the touch of a button.
