is Medical Director of the ACL Illinois Central Laboratory in Rosemont, Illinois, which performs all molecular testing for the Advocate Healthcare system, including over 42,000 HIV and HCV viral load tests since 2020. He previously established clinical molecular pathology laboratories at University of Illinois, Chicago (UIC) and Resurrection Medical Center (now AMITA). He lives on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile with his wife Jackie Sieros, MD, the grateful recipient of an HCV-positive renal allograft – an infection successfully eradicated with antiviral therapy and timely HCV viral-load testing.
